It is about how to make my favorite food "JADAH"

Friends, do you know about JADAH? I think if you are Javanese or you live in Yogyakarta and other cities in Central Java, you will easily guess what JADAH is, because it is also a Javanese traditional food. Just let you know friends, Jadah has been my favorite food since I visited Kaliurang recretion park ,5 months ago. This food is also well-known as Kaliurang's specialty food. This food has white color. This food is sticky and delicious. It has deliciously oily taste. Hmm, sounds delicious, isn't it? Because I really love this food, I'd like to tell you about how to make JADAH.

First, I want to tell you about the ingredients. The ingredients that you need to make jadah are 1 kilogram of sticky rice, 1 medium bowl of grated coconut, one teaspoonful of salt. Don't forget to add 2 slices of pandanus and a slice of bay leaf, to make this food smells good. You also need utensils to make the food. The utensils which also important to make Jadah are a pan steamer, a small plastic basin to put pandan leaves and bay leaf, a bread mold to put JADAH after it has already cooked, a mortar to mash JADAH, a stirring spoon, a plate and last but it's very important is stove.

Now, I'm going to tell you about the process. First, soak the sticky rice for two hours with clean water. After that, steam the sticky rice which has already soaked for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes left, lift the steamed sticky rice from the steamer. Then, mix the steamed rice with one medium bowl of grated coconut, one teaspoonful of salt,2 slices of pandan leaves, and one slice of bay leaf, stir them for a while. After you have already stirred it, steam the mixture for 30 minutes until it is getting cooked (now, we can call it JADAH). Next, pick all of the leaves (bay leaf and pandan leaves) from JADAH and put the leaves in a small plastic basin. Next, mash JADAH to make it tough and more sticky. Last, flattened JADAH in the bread mold ,slice it into some pieces if JADAH has already been a bit chilly and put them into a plate. Now, Jadah it's ready to serve. Hmm, It is sounds easy to make, isn't it?

Friends, I really suggest you to eat this food. Believe me, if you eat this food you will never getting bored because it's very delicious. You can easily find this food in Kaliurang recreation park. There are a lot of stalls which sell JADAH. OK! friends, Bon Apetit!!!

  2. Ma..I want to add something...
If I'm not mistaken and based on writing resources that I've read, ur writing is a procedure because there are so many active voice while a process should have more passive voice.

    Thank u... :)

  3. Maris I'd like to correct my comment.
Apparently, we may use active voice in making process, but we may not use imperative sentence...

    for example:
    1. First, we boiled the water for about 5 minutes. (correct)
    2. First, the water is boiled for about 5 minutes ( correct)
    3. First, boil the water for about 5 minutes. (incorrect cz it's procedure).

    Tahnk u... ^^

  9. Heiiiii ata Lio..... now I have a great story for you.

You know what is noodle in Indonesian. Right? I have a great story about that.

One day President Bill Clinton visited Indonesia. While he and one of our president were having a talk in the sitting room, our president`s wife was busy preparing noodle in the kitchen. After it was ready, she went to the sitting room to ask Bill Clinton: "Mr. President, do you like mie (me)?" Firstly Clinton smiled, no answer. So, on top of her voice she asked him , "Mr. Clinton do you like me?" No answer. This time she slowly and more confidently asked again, "Mr. President Clinton, please, do you like me? Still hot". Heheheheeee
